the last level was 256 and it locked up with only half a screen, apparently to see it is the holy grail of gamers. there is also a pattern you can follow to beat pac man, i had the link somewhere its good. for an arcade original www.oldgames.se its called puckman in japan, the link below gives everthing in detail about beating pac man and screen shots of the levels. now that has to be a top answer?
there was also a way to put the unit into 'factory mode' by waggling the joystick in a certain way, thats listed on the link below too, look at the bottom of the patterns page.

I don't think so, I love Ms Pac-man and when you go through all the "fruit" bonuses, you start again at the cherries.

There wasn't a "last" one per se...after the 256th one it just loops, so there's no real end. And of course, the 256th level was messed up.

in original pac-man and ms.pac-man ,no,there is not a last level,it actually just kept going forever
