I've heard this question many times and debataes wheater it is or not. I;ve watch a few shows of it and think (in my opinion) it's all setup. I don't really think the wrestlers mean to harm the opponent with a chair or bodyslaming them right on the stomach. If this was all real with the same amount of force they look like their using, wouldn't they have big gashing cuts and scars and huge purple bruses? This is all my opinion; I don't mean to offend any wrestling fans/players. And if their is an explanation, why haven't i heard of it?

fake. i once went to a wrestling match and sat down at our front row seat. my foot hit something. i looked down and there was a monkey wrench. it was really annoying me so i picked it up and just threw it away. about half way through the match, the wrestler was "punched" and he rolled over to my feet and reached under the seat. he was apparently looking for the monkeywrench. at the end of the match, we were escorted out by security and im like wtf!

Well..a long time ago i thought it was real(when it was still WWF)..but now that it is WWE and all the old wrestlers are gone, such as: The rock, Stone Cold, Mankind, Dean Malenko, Terri, Trish, Perry Saturn, Eddie Guerrero, Chyna, X-Pac, Farooq, and a bunch more, WWF/WWE just sucks now..too many noob wrestlers that dont know what they are doing and dont even last a week in WWE and some that just go, wrestle, and are scheduled to lose, and the ones that are currently inactive. Basically WWE is fake and it sucks a lot

It's fake. We all know it. IF there ARE any who say it's real, they just don't want to admit it to themselves or others. The wrestlers do get hurt though. Someone misses a mark, you're done. Also, it could be that they just don't bruise easily. If you look though, they do get red. Pay attention to the few minutes after Ric Flair backhand slaps someone's chest. They get really red. They do get bruises. For some reason, it takes a lot, but I have seen a lot of them with bruises.

Nobody who watches wrestling thinks it's 'real' anymore, just as people who watch movies don't think that aliens are actually attacking earth or that somehow Charlie Sheen's dad is president. These same people also know that the ending is predetermined. They know that when Rocky steps into the ring, the outcome was known before filming even began. You don't believe that wresting fans are capable of making this distinction. We are. We suspend our disbelief, just like people watching plays, movies, television, radio dramas, magicians, and fireworks.

Its fake and they use steroids. Wrestling should be replaced by the Smurfs. The Smurfs act better and dont need steroids. I respect the Smurfs a lot more.

yes it is kinda fake, like the endings are predetermined. the majority of the moves are real (ie. off the top rope and ladders) and you also have some fakes (the tombstone pile driver, if executed properly otherwise it's deadly).

yes the storylines are fake, the athleticism no, people really do get hurt, unless thats written in the storyline and that just mean they want time off or vacation.
