you can try rebooting your computer into safe mode then run your anti-spyware program. When you boot into safe mode Windows only loads the minimum drivers needed to start so the spyware won't get loaded. The reason it won't delete now is because a part of the spyware is loaded and it can't be removed if its being used.
As others have recommended I also recommend:
Adware SE (free personal version) www.lavasoft.com
Spybot search and destroy (also free) - www.spybot.org

Download the following antispyware software:
Adaware
Spyware Blaster (Runs in the background all you have to is update prevent you from getting spyware in the first place)
Spybot Search and Destroy
Also try CCleaner
I hope this helps. It may or may not help. It would help if your computer is loaded with spyware. All of the software I mentioned is free. I use these software and my computer runs in tip top shape.

Try this link. Don't worry it is not malicious, it is genuine.
http://www.winantispyware.com
I have Win AntiSpyware 2007,
when properly set up the free addition can track and stor all malicious soft ware.
The full addition which will allow you to delete, will cost you $50.00 australian.
Be careful of anything that offers full opperation for free, because that is how the spyware got onto your computer in the first place.

1) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot http://spywarekiller.hyperboards.com/index.php?action=view_topic&topic_id=4 do that now .Update it and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode
then run AVG Anti-Spyware Free
http://spywarekiller.hyperboards.com/index.php?action=view_topic&topic_id=39&latest=1
then
2) Do an online virus scan to check and remove virus and spyware if you still have viruses on your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
