MY LAST AF WAS ON DEC 26 OF 2006 AND MY DOC TOLD ME IT WOLD BE SAFE TO START CLOMID? SO I STARTED 50MG (5-9 EVEN THOUGH I NEVER HAD AF)ON FEB 20 2007 AND STILL NO AF -- SO I TOOK A TEST ON FRIDAY AND IS WAS A BFN AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO THINK?? SO I CALED MY DOC AND HE WANTS ME TO WAIT TILL DAY 35 TO TEST ? BUT AF NEVER CAME ? WHEN IS DAY 35 ?? HAS ANY ON BEEN THROUGH THIS BEFOR OR AM I THE ONLY ONE??

Your doctor should have given you a drug to bring on your period before you took the Clomid. I agree, when is day 35? I'd change doctors; very odd.

My doctors never started me on clomid first without provera. They do say you do not need to have a period in order to ovulate. If he said you need to wait until cycle day 35 you need to check the calendar for last 3 months and use an average. Hope yo kept track, you could go to my cycle.com and start with the first day of your last period till the first day of the next one. Also I need to ask you what kind of doctor is this an ob/gyn, reprductive endocrinologist, fertility specialist? Just my opinion but I think yoou should go somewhere else. Also why are you periods irreg? I have PCOS and hardly ever have mine on my own I need med. every month plus i am ttc with help of reproductive endocrinologist. There are so many other factors to consider such as age, how long have yoou and dh been ttc?

Ok well first he probably means day 35 counting from the first day you started the clomid....He really should have given you something to bring your period on first and then the clomid...You should really ask him what his reasoning is for starting you on clomid first...Good Luck!
