You still need to drink at least 8 glasses a day. This is especially helpful if your feet are swollen. Drinking a lot will make for tons of trips to the bathroom, but it's the best way to go.

Well, they tell you that you should drink 8, 8 oz. glasses of water a day. But most bottles of water have about 16 ounces of water.
So just figure that one bottle of water, is about 2 glasses of water. So you should try and drink at least 4 bottles of water a day. But I think if you're drinking two large bottles of water, then you really aren't doing too bad.
I've had a hard time drinking all that water. Some days I'm really thirsty and have no problem, and other days I do. So don't stress about it too much, just do your best. Also, if you get abdominal cramping, it's often because you're dehydrated, in which case you should try and drink some water.
Best of luck to you!

I also say drink to thirst, but also aim for about 3 liters a day. It can be very hard to keep up, especially if you not a very thirsty person like I am. I tried to drink 2-3 liter bottles a day with both kids. And keep up that fluid after if you plan to breastfeed - about on 12 oz bottle every time you nurse.

Doctors are good at that, telling you what is wrong but not how to fix it. My doctor said 8, 8 oz glasses a day. So I place 4 16 OZ water bottles on my cupboard and pour them into glasses of water and I try to have them all gone by the end of the day.
I also add glasses of juice and such, but that is on top of the water intake. Just a little fact, you may be aware of it, but dehydration can actually put you into early labor.

Technically everyone should drink 8 glasses of water a day. but you get a lot of that through food stuffs anyway.
you should drink as much as you want although never to excess ( you know if your drinking excessively) there is no set amount, it depends on your body temperature, your activity level, your climate, and well almost a billion other conditions..

at least 8 glasses of 8oz per day....if you are overweight to begin with then you may need to drink more.
and if you eat/drink a lot of caffine then you will also have to take in more than the typical 8 glasses.
