I want to move to Boulder this summer - I'm not certified anywhere in the US, but I have a lot of experience overseas.

You can probably get an emergency certification through the state of Colorado, but your main problem will be that you need to pass a battery of state teaching exams to become professionally certified. Depending on your subject area, school districts may not be willing to hire you until you have passed every one of these exams. You will probably have to move to Boulder and take a year of substituting or something else while you pursue these tests. Good luck!

This is a link to the Colorado Department of Education http://www.cde.state.co.us/index_licenseaps.htm It will help you out with everything you will need to do in order to get a teacher certificate in Colorado if you are eligible or tell you want you need to do still.

Good Luck!!!
