It will be crowded but not as bad as say July/August. It's hard to say which is best because it will be preference but I think there is more to do at Disney, both activity-wise and attraction-wise. Vacations are what you make of them so you will definately have a great time no matter what. I would suggest staying at disney but maybe visiting Universal one of the days you are in town.

Universal. Seriously, there is no way Disney World comes close to being as good. But you should also know that there are two parks, Universal Studios AND Islands of Adventure. You can get day-hopper passes to both of them, but if you want only one, Islands had better rides. Disney has more stuff for younger children, but do you really want to wait in an hour line for a train that drives around an oval track? Universal has rides for younger kids, and other attractions my little brothers loved. There are themed playgrounds (Dinosaurs, Dr. Seuss, etc.) which can be just as much fun (or more) than rides.

Also, an excellent park in Busch Gardens. It surpassed all others we've been to. That is in Tampa though.

And for Orlando, Wet'N'Wild is an awesome water park.

At the end of June, it's very busy, with horrible lines, however the lines are worse at Disney. Also keep in mind that it will be very hot, and refreshments at the park are very expensive.

Also, another place you might want to look into is the Orlando City Walk. It has tons of cool restaurants and bars, and if your kids can stay alone, it could be a welcome break for the adults.

Disney offers the most for people of every age. The summer is the only time to go as far as I'm concerned. Why go and not be able to enjoy the resort pools?
The Nick Hotel offers suites to give you more space and privacy. Also check into the moderate and value hotels on property as well as the Swan and Dolphin which sometimes have great specials. Staying on property has many benefits. You might also see if any Disney Vacation Club villas are available. They can accomodate families of all sizes.
Have a great trip!

For the older kids, maybe Universal. For the younger and really the whole family together Disney. Universal has a lot of height requirements that make it, IMHO, difficult with smaller children. Especially the 5 year old who is going to feel left out while the older kids ride the thrill rides. Disney has thrill rides, but there is always something nearby for littler kids to do while they wait.

I like the suites at All Star on Disney property. Here is info on them http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/g_asuites.htm But to me Disney is not as good if you are off property.

The end of June is HOT, and rainy, and crowded. Lines will be long and you should make dining reservations NOW. But you can still have a ton of fun. Plan on leaving before the 4th of July though, it tends to be really crazy the closer you get.

Have fun!

thats a hard quest. b/c 15 may or may not like dsiney. If u get like a 2-3 day gate hopper take in mgm for age 15 esp.Univ just advertised rate hike on tickets. But in june u shouldn't have lines all crowds etc ay disney. Disney is the best for ur kids age groups. disney hotels usually accomodate 4.

I would recommend Walt Disney World for your family. There is much more to do at Disney for all ages. As far as accomodations, I would recommend the Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa which is near Downtown Disney. This a beautifull resort that offers nice and comfortable one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom villas perfect for families. Availibility is limited for the larger room types so make sure you book early in advance. Checkout the official Walt Disney World website for lots of helpfull information on Disney and its resorts, the Saratoga Springs Resort is listed under the category Disney Vacation Club or "Home Away From Home" Resorts:

Having lived in Florida since 1979 I would have to pick Disney for our family only because of the age of your children. The 15 yr. old would like universal better because of the various rides, but they might be to intense for the younger ones. as for a hotel I would stay in kissismee its about 10 miles south of both parks, check with a travel agent, or go online for more info. As for the weather, late June the temperature in the afternoon should be between 80 and 90 with a good chance of rain every afternoon. also both parks are open till11pm and have a great fireworks show every night.

I think Disney would be better, just because Universal is more oriented towards older kids, which you have one of, but I don't know that your little ones would enjoy it as much. And Disney has lots of things to do for everybody.

I'm not sure of a specific hotel, but you could stay at one in Disney and you would have enough room.

It will be very, very busy in summer, and also very hot. Which could be a drawback, but it still would be enjoyable.

Yeah it is pretty bad to go the end of June as that would be their peak season. One motel you do NOT want to stay in is Day's Inn, Disney East. My daughter and I stayed there, and they advertise a COMPLIMENTARY continental breakfast (complimentary meaning free) But they charge it to your room if you don't pay there. There was no "pool rules" in site and my daughter went to the pool when we first got there, it was about 9:00pm, she just wanted a quick dip as it was hot. One of the maintenance people yelled explectives (curse words) at her, called her a sl ut and told her to go back to her room. There were cockroaches in the bathroom and when we complained we were called "stupid Americans" by the Bosnian maintenance. When I complained at the desk about our treatment I was told that "we don't have cockroaches, those are "palmetto bugs"...having lived in New York I know what a cockroach looked like and I don't give a damn what you call them, they were COCKROACHES. I was also told that the maintenance man's "gruff" approach was just his way, and when I enquired about the "complementary breakfast" I was told they had a recent change in policy. Yes I did complain to their corporate and they did send me half of what I spent on the room back...but it will be a very cold day in hell before I stay at another Day's Inn anywhere.
