I think your partner will completely understand the sitution - spend sometime alone doing the things you both love together before the little one arrives, take full advantage of the free time you'll have with one another!! Sex isn't the only way to be intimate with one another - Foreplay etc is still allowed just no penetration! Good Luck - best wishes for baby!

My doctor never told me that. I did spot early in and was told not to have sex for the following six weeks, but I couldn't last. That "horny" feeling that is supposed to last just through the first trimester, lasted the entire time with me! Some say it's supposed to bring on contractions toward the end, but that didn't help either.

As for you guys, there are other ways of giving pleasure, especially to your husband if you aren't supposed to be having any sort of contractions, ie orgasm, that I'm sure he will appreciate just as well as intercourse. Have fun!

sex in the final trimster is the best for natural birthing yeah it might painful, or you may experience some discomfort but it helps greatly in having a natural birth and it also helps relaxes you , when my sister in law went into labour i advised her to do that she had her baby a few hours later without a type of pain killers etc, she just popped him out so fast she was suprised and she waited up to the very last minute she was 9cm dilated then went to the hospital and this is her second child try it and try relaxing yourself a lot i mean be stress free you'll enjoy your labour and birthing have fun

Hmmmm maybe you could just do other stuff like kiss and hug, that's the closest thing to sex.Maybe go out to dinner some day and just have a good time, enjoy your pregnancy as it is there then sson the baby will be born and you'll have extreme work so enjoy the break you have!

Long talks, cuddles, those long kisses that make your toes curl. There's always blow jobs, mutual masturbation, sharing fantasties that you'll do to each other when you are cleared for sexual activity. You could always do phone sex.

Have you considered getting a second opinion about your condition? Perhaps this OB is erring on the side of caution, or is going on out dated information? See a few other doctors about it and see what they say.

There is other things you can do, think about it.... I couldn't have sex from 18 weeks on. I was very lucky that my husband was very understanding and did not pressure me. He knew the importance of us not having sex. Although sex is important in any relationship , i don't think any relationship should be based on sex. Obviously there is something going on with the membranes / placenta, your husband should understand that having sex will cause you to go into early labour. Take him to the docs so he can explain to your husband about the complications. good luck take care

Atleast you have your hubby home. YAY for you.
My husband is in the Army and has been gone most of my pregnancy at boot camp and AIT. We haven't had sex since about the beginning of my pregnancy.
You could choose foreplay. You could also snuggle and just spend the last of your 13 weeks together. I haven't really been in the mood for have sex while I've been pregnant so it really didn't bother me.
I'd give anything just to snuggle with my husband or have him close. You are so lucky.

Must be very difficult. I am 20 weeks and i know that wheni dont have sex even a week i start to get ansy..U and your husband can have oral sex,it will befit both of you and will be pleasurable..Grinding,kissing,touching,all foreplay is just as good as sex and if u spice it up,it can sometimes be better,,,good luck!

I would suggest either oral sex or Mutual masterbation. This will still give you and your husband an opportunity to be intimate while not causing medical complications.
