You're using logic again. You know how it confuses the fanatics.

It is a fact that the "Iraqi insurgents" are mostly Sunni and exclusively financed by Saudi Arabia (our friends?) so American anti-war protests will have no effect on the enemy. Our troops are in the middle of a 1400 year old power struggle in a situation where if they "aid" either side they will make enemies.
POWER emboldens all sides in the Iraq war...especially the American NeoCons.

Their theory is only terrorist see protest and it emboldens them.
Red State Iraq only sees Mohamed al Rush and how great Bush is. Insurgents are called illegals on Baghdad FOX

There are two audiences here. Protests do show Iraqis the American version of freedom in action. And certainly, as a conservative, I have no interest in preventing you from protesting.
But for the second audience, the insurgents, the vast media coverage of protests demonstrates for them the willingness of the American people to abandon the war effort. It is literally that dissent that they are trying to generate with their insurgency because they will never win the war through attrition. If the insurgency can make the cost of the war greater than Americans are willing to bear, then America will pull out and they will achieve their objective. Protests are a strong gage of what we as a nation are willing to bear.

Thats a two edge sword. Of course peaceful Iraqi citizens would look at it as freedom but at the same time wouldn't a sworn terrorist enemy view it as weakness and lack of resolve? We are in the middle of a war on Islamic Terrorism aren't we?????

Democracy is one of the worst forms of govt ever invented and has failed everytime. Demo from demos: mob. Mob rule. It is the illusion of freedom from dictatorship. The word democracy is not in the bill of rights or the constitution or the declaration of independance. We are a republic. Not a democracy. Research that and you will know. Sending troops to iraq is not supporting them. Defend the US constitution. Defend freedom not by abolishing it but by practicing it. Dems play the coward role and reps play cowboy role. Manipulation of puppets is all it is. The united nations is being used to bring on the new world order. George HW Bush, September 11, 1991 said it. US sovereignty is being destroyed. W's daddy and bill clinton anre best buddies. Research Illuminati and you will see.

Please protest, it is your right, whether I agree or not I do desire to force you to agree with me or silence your right to protest...
But know this:
The insurgents know they cannot beat the US military on the battlefield otherwise they would engage them. Instead they set off IED's against convoys and civilians with little to no military objective, but only to cause chaos and grab headlines.
They know from history that the US military is rarily beaten on the field, but they also know that with pesistance and patience they can break the will of the US population.

Dude that is deluded. Optimistic but deluded. Seeing a large portion of our public not support the action against them gives them reason to continue on. We saw it in 'Nam. Do you believe the insurgents are looking for evidence that freedom is good or are they more interested to see that our resolve is weak? Perception is in the eye of the beholder. You and your ilk feel that Anti-war protests are a great patriotic action while most of the country looks at it as rebellion against your country. Which view do you suppose our enemies are looking for?

Yes but when they protest they use guns. Let's not over inspire them what do you say. Why don't we try and show them how to pull together to help a new government. Maybe if you protested less and helped more it would send a message of cooperation.

Freedom of speech.
What would happen if no one protested?
What if we didn't promote freedom?
We can't like everything that people do.
Education is the key.

No, the protests show the terrorists that the war may soon be over, and they will be free to attack the US again.
