I don't get the Lovely=intelligent connection. There are numerous anomalies to that theory.

Calling another user out in such a manner is unnecessary and completely ridiculous.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and while I dont agree with her, she IS a nice person. Stop being so hate filled and get over what she said that offended you. If you take something someone said her so personally perhaps this isnt the site for you.

No. Words can be cheap and meaningless. Usually people that have to talk themselves up are hiding what they really are or are insecure. Now this isn't always the case. There are many times where you have to "sell" yourself...like at job interviews, then were're talking a whole different situation. There's also a difference between confidence and conceit. It all depends on the context and situation

No I tend to take people at face value until they distinguish themselves.
You for example repeatedly post something you've cut and pasted, that you stole from some other source and pass it off as your own, in an attempt to be witty and then personally call people out for no real reason just to make yourself feel better. Give me RLP all day long, she makes a stand and it is definitely her own.

You can usually tell by their questions and answers whether they are intelligent or not. You don' have to take their word.
