i'm a girl...but i'm gonna answer your question anyways. lol. my boyfriend likes skinny girls to look at, but he's rather have one with meat on her bones (like me) for keeps. i'll admit, i have a little belly on me that i'm self conscious of. but my boyfriend loves it. he's always playing with my belly and stuff. i think america has too much of a stereotype on beauty. everywhere you look the "pretty people" look like they either haven't eaten in ages or they just threw up what they ate. i love seeing men with women who look bigger than them. it proves that there are guys out there that don't just go for america's ideal beauties. it shows that these men actually have a head on their shoulders and can see women as beautiful no matter how big or small they are. all you guys who said you like women with a belly, you're awesome!

I'm with you all the way. Back in Rembrandt's time all the best nudes show belly fat. In the time of Carnegie and Rockefeller the rich ate extra fatty beef (which is why U.S.D.A. grade A has the most fat, by the way) so that their women would plump up because that was their standard of beauty, whereas skinniness was a sign of poverty.
The primary reason IMO that skinniness is in today (and has been since Twiggy and Mia Farrow in the Sixties) is due to the fashion Moguls who make more $ by having presentably skinny women wearing the new fashions; they do this to maximize profits because if the voluptuous were to model the new styles nobody would buy them because they'd look dumpy.
The secondary but more minor reason is the supposed unisex ideal - the blurring of distinct sexual roles, which is a crossover of possible homosexual tendencies or overt gayness from the private lives of some top designers.

well im a girl and im pretty skinny. some girls its just not their faults so i don't think its totally fair. i mean i know im skinnier then most girls im about 80ibs. and a 00 in jeans. but its certainly not from lack of eating. all my friends are bigger than me and always compare themselves to me cuz im skinny but i dont like being as skinny as i am because i have people calling me anorexic and im not. but thats just my little person comment.

If I were a guy, I would like a girl who is a little undereweight, not really like, only 5-10 pounds underweight, not fat, but not skinny either.
