Bush just said on National TV that the attorneys resigned.
I believe they were fired. Now they resigned?

I am fully aware that they can be fired, which they were, so why does Bush use the term resigned. He is not fooling anyone any longer.

I honestly had to walk out of the room. I can't stand to see how pathetic the situation has become. What are these frat boys thinking? Their daddies aren't gonna make a call and bail them out of this one. I don't think they ever considered that the Democrats would take over and they would have to answer for the six years of criminal activity they've been enjoying. It is sad and embarrassing time for our country.

They were forced to resign. Semantics.

Clinton Fired them as he came into office just as every president does, not in mid term do they fire THEIR OWN appointees because they are investigating their friends (the Dukester)

It doesn't matter. US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President, who can fire them at any time for any reason or no reason at all. Just ask slick-Willy, who fired 93 of them once he was elected.

What difference does it make? They serve at his pleasure and he doesn't need permission to fire them, just like your big hero Billybob Clinton didn't need permission to fire 91 of them. I'm sure it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that a lot of them were investigating Clinton and his cronies like Rostenkowski. Cop a Chill!

It is unbelievable that that horse crap is even an issue.Congress should be doing something beside worrying about something that every administration has done.
