i turned off my laptop last night and now it doesnt wanna turn on =[ theres a little light flashing on it and under the light is a tiny picture of a plug. many of you might say to take it back to the store where i got it but i didnt get it at a store so thats not an option for me...its fairly new and i really need some answers cause i dont know whats going on!

Perhaps the battery is dead and the plug isn't functioning. Try jiggling the power plug a little bit and see if that give it some power. Other than that, I would just take it to a local computer store, since you're computer apparently isn't under warranty anymore.

in that case
try removing the power cord and battery and wait about 20 mins and then try it again.
Or try holding down your power button for about 10 seconds

that does happen to my laptop from time to time, and in my case i just unplug the power cord and remove the battery...YES! REMOVE THE BATTERY! then try to turn it back on.

your system has what is called a momentary switch press and hold for three secs or so this should do it
