It depends on what kind of dance, but you really can't miss with pilates and yoga. Be sure to incoporate both stretching and strength building exercises, several times a week. Depending on how many dance classes you're taking per week, maybe you could alternate each day between dance and something else.

to be fit for a DANCER? do the basics over and over ...
get a book on technique from Balanchine with gretta on the cover and look at the list of techniques for beginers to intermediate and do those.

i would honestly say salsa and 4 times a week for 8 weeks! its incredible! i wish i could send you a pic lol
