If you connected the water line output from the de-humidifier to the water input tank of the humidifier, the water would just keep circulating from one to the other. The humidifier would put moisture in the air - the de-humidifier would take it out - and pour it back into the water resevoir of the humidifier. Another side effect would be the room temperature would rise from the work being done.

If the room was closed, the humidifier would eventually run out of water (unless it was connected to an unlimited outside source), and the de-humidifier would take all the water out of the air that the humidifier put into the air.

You could connect the supply line of the humidifier to the drain of the de-humidifier and have a closed water cycle.

God would be angry and unleash His spell on you.it is like "what will happen when we drink and then we spill out the water again.
generally to answer this question and if your parents are lousy enaough to permit you to do this silly experiment you'll have to consider the power of the humidifier and the dehumidifier first.if the other one is more powerful it will win.

First, you would be wasting a lot of energy.
Second, I've had cheap WallyWorld machines and the humidifier is much more efficient than a dehumidifier...
so you will still waste a lot of energy and be uncomfortably sticky.
