I sure loved watching McNair go at it last season, while Volek tanked the Titans for a while... They arent underrated, they are a feared team.

How can you say the Ravens are underrated? They did exactly what people thought they would do last year. The reason they didn't get further is because they were not a complete team then. With several improvements in free agency, and with good additions in the upcoming draft, the Ravens should continue to improve. But to say the Ravens are underrated is not a true statement. Teams and fans alike are taking them seriously because they are contenders. They wouldn't do that if people didn't think that they were a worthy opponent.

How many times have they made the playoffs since winning the Super Bowl? Last year was their first trip in a few years. If they would put more than one good season together, they would get more national coverage.
Despite having a great defense, they seem more than content to have a very predictable offense. Do they have any play-action passes on first down in their offensive system?
When Billick was in Minnesota, they attacked on offense. It seems as though the Ravens are happy with letting the defense win most games for them.

People say that defense win championships but you need to put up points to win. Even with Steve Mcnair this past season they still do not have an offense. Until they do they will continue to be underrated

i dont think the ravens are underreted, hell i'm glad the cowboys don't play them this year( i hope ). but one reason you probably say that they are is because you dont see them very rarely blowing teams out or scoring in the 30's on a regular basics such as teams like the chargers and colts.. but they have one of , if not the best defenses in the entire league plus they added willis mcghee from buffalo and steve mcnair is going to leave it all on the field. hell they won a super bowl so i don't think they are underrated .. they are one of the top five teams in the nfl in my opinion.

lol @ never be better than the steelers. they sure as hell were last season. how bad were they beat by the ravens? by 27 points in the first time they played, and 24 points in the second game? not to mention how many times the steelers QB got sacked when they played.
someone sounds like a sore loser!

You definatly must be a Ravens fan.
I am too, but the Ravens are NOT under rated. Them and their defense were all over ESPN last season. Talked about all last season.
You could say they are over rated. Did you hear Ray Lewis talk smack then get beat by the Colts? Yeah... don't do that.
But they're definatly not under rated, making the watch list every week on ESPN.

Who other than you are saying they are underrated? I think they got credit for a solid year, but at MOST was the 3rd best team in the AFC, next to the Colts and Chargers. So I think they are receiving as much recognition as they should. They are a good team. Thats about it. A lot of teams are good.

Ravens are the best NFl team period. They have Steve 'Air" McNair, Ray Lewis, Willis McGahee, Todd Heap, Mark Clayton, and the NFL's #1 defense. Try to stop that team.

They play a defensive game. The NFL wants to promote offense, so the Ravens are overlooked by the NFL. That also means they are overlooked by casual fans that repeat what they see on things like Sportscenter.
