Sex addiction has nothing to do with having a high sex drive or otherwise.
It is an addiction, which is characterised by dependence, denial and compulsion.
The heroin addict is addicted to heroin; the sex addict addicted to sex. It is often performed without joy and to the detriment of everyday, functional, authentic living.
