Go to Tiger Direct.com they have a refurbished laptop section and some of their new computer are price great. check out the link below
also im not sure what city your in but we have a local computer show that comes once a month and they have laptops from $300.00 + their website is http://marketproshows.com/ check this site to see if they come to your town

This site allows you to look for classifed ads in your city. You can call the seller and ask him if its ok if you test the laptop. Try it out. I buy many things from this site.
