You are saving it as an HTML file but that's only half of the process. You need to also upload it to a web server that will then host it in order for you to reference back to that file via the internet. Usually your ISP will be able to provide you with hosting space.

In addition to saving the document as a web page, you have to publish it to the Web, that is, post it to a website. In order to have someplace to publish your page to, you need to get set up with a web hosting provider. There are plenty of free ones around. Also, if you already have an account with an ISP to get onto the Net, web hosting may also be available. So check around the Web or ask your ISP, and it shouldn't be too hard to get set up.

Word is not a good choice for editing website or web pages.

Let's assume you've already have registered your own domain name like abc.com and also you have access to your hosting where your website will be hosted.

1)What you need is a HTML Editor like FrontPage, (not a good choice either), Dreamweaver is one of the best one which is used by lot of pro web designer, however, it's quite expensive and it takes time to learn.

If you are starting out, you can download a free HTML Editor at

http://www.nvu.com/index.php

You can also visit the following sites to get some free tutorials:

2) Then you'll need an FTP client, a software/program which install to your computer. This FTP client allows you to upload your html pages or site to your hosting.

You can download a free FTP client at

Ow! Word is the WORST thing to make a website with. Use anything else and you'll find it a lot easier and have much better results. But hey!

In order to have a page on the internet, you need to upload it to an internet connected webserver.

its extremely undemanding. merely enter your code, like on notepad, and then save it applying an html ending extremely of .checklist. BTW: I usualy sugest applying Notepad extremely of notice because of fact its plenty easyer to view and edit the code once you could view all of it on one website
