Quite the opposite. Like other great apes we are genetically programmed to want to spread our genes as far and as wide as possible. Society and culture push us in a different direction.

Being monogamous is a choice it is not a state of mind nor a condition. People are monogamous if they make the conscious choice to be so. Our natural inclination as is with animals is to procreate and to spread our gene pool to as many breeding females as possible. It is only morals, society, ethics and culture that prevent us from doing that. A lot of men have this mid life crisis where nature is telling them they don't have long to disseminate the gene's. That's why a lot of them go for younger women who are healthy and will be able to have healthy offspring. You only have to look at nature and animals and see the old buck trying to compete with the younger ones for the best breeding female. Sorry if my explanation offends anyone. Definitely NO men are not naturally monogamous.

Hm...never been gay so I don't know. My whole theory on that is...guys like sex. A lot of it. Guys are just naturally turned on all the time. There is like a pocket watch, that when some guy or girl walks by they go off like a bomb.
I have NEVER met any "guys" that were Monogamous. Even if a guy is "faithful" it would be a miracle. Cuz, I haven't seen any yet.

Is this a serious question? No, they certainly are not. But then again I don't believe anyone is naturally monogamous, it is a conscious choice to have only one partner.

Honestly--I don't think men are monogamous--probably from prehistoric times. However, I think genralisations are horrible (even though I am about to contradict myself on this one :) ) I really think that it is an individual thing. Anyone can be monogamous. There are women who aren't monogamous........so you go figure.

Simply put....NO.
Society put into place the current rules.
We all want to think we are the only one our mate wants, but the truth is that humans, male and female, are animals and sex is a natural part of who we are.
Monogamy, although practical in an age where sexually transmitted disease can kill you, is not in our nature.
I have been so in love before that I did not want another person in my bed, unfortunately the other guy did not feel the same. If you have that rare feeling for someone else and at the same time they feel the same way about you... it's magic and your blessed.

There's a chemical released in a adult male that is released into the body the instant we open our eyes in the morning. It then instructs us to go out and share our seminal fluids with as many women as we can.

NO human is naturally monogamus. Monogamy is an idea presented to us by an uptight, religiously afraid society.
