The book is a horror story that starts with a lady in her apartment making dinner in preparation for her husband returning home. She hears a noise in her dining room and sees shadows on the walls. It then describes how her husband finds her sitting in a chair in the middle of the room and all the furniture is pushed to one side of the room, almost magnetic. It can be quite horrid and gruesome at times. I can vaguely remember the main character i think he is some kind of investigator called in when these things cannot be solved. I unfortunately cannot remember his name or much about him. Other things in the book are black holes appearing, one scene i can remeber is when they are investigating in another apartment, a large black hole appears under the bed and tries to capture them in. It basically contains a lot of desturction and alot of shadow descriptions. It carries on around the world not just in one country. It is a fantastic book, quite thick paper back..Please help me find it

It vaguely sounds like Burial Ground by Graham Masterton, which was the sequel to his Manitou book of the 70's. Been a looooong time since I read it though.

It's about the trapped spirit of a Native American Shaman called Misquamacus who is out for revenge and your description of the start sounds very familiar. He appears as a shadow to wreak havoc too. I'm pretty sure it's Burial Ground you're looking for.

Good luck :)

Im sorry I don't know book but your best bet is to go into your local library and tell them the description of the story and I'm sure they will know which book it is.

If you put the description there someone should know it. It's specifically for people looking for books, they've helped me before.
