They make it sound like U.S. troops are the only ones doing the killing. Why aren't they blaming the insurgents for slaughtering thousands of innocent civilians and children under the false guise of resistance? The insurgents are not freedom fighters but ruthless murderers and terrorists. The presence of the troops does not make the insurgents less accountable for their own actions. If the insurgents were standing up to the U.S. forces, why not just attack the soldiers, instead of resorting to cheap and cowardly tactics like bombing defenseless innocents.

That answer above makes you wonder what the current activists would be saying about not committing violence in light of the brutality of the Nazi machine. Oh that's right we did see that with Chamberlain and the Vichy government of France. Just let the Nazi party do what they please. Many here do not look at history and see the political ties the Germans of WWII forged with the ancestors of today's PLO and other Islamofascists. Even some of Saddam's leanings from his early days as a bathist can be traced to allegiance to Nazi philosophy.

There was a story out of Iraq today about insurgents using two children to carry out a car bombing. The car was allowed to get through a check point because it was thought to be relatively safe since kids were in the back seat. The adults jumped out of the vehicle just before it exploded leaving the children to die. If that's evil, I don't know what is.

But the anti-America crowd will somehow find someway to justify it (they're freedom fighters! ) and try to make a moral relevance equation with what they perceive as our warmongering. I know unfortunately women and children have loss their lives due to U.S. military actions ,but it's not the policy of the United States military to deliberately target women and children.

I don't like this war either, but feel that if they (protesters) are truly against the killing and violence going on in Iraq, they should condemn all the atrocities not just the ones they think are being committed by the United States.

US troops are contributing to the killing - antiwar activists simply believe two wrongs don't make a right, violence does not solve problems, there are better, probably cheaper ways, that just don't help fund the us war machine, but actually help people enact change in their corner of the world rather than just blowing up parts of it.

There would be a lot more killing if the US troops were not there.
