i have a pretty good sized cut on my little finger, i went to get stutches yesterday. the cut come from a heavy kinda blunt object falling on my finger. the question is that i have numbness in my arm... what could this be, i dont want to wait for 4 hours in a hospital to find out it is nothing can anyone help me out?

the numbness is from the elbow down but it is not really numb , i must have severed the nerve in my finger, and an artery actually, that part i know for sure

the object was a drive shaft from a transfer truck that weighed about 130 lbs the way it fell my finger slipped between the yolk and the u joint and cut both sides, took 4 stitches on the pad of the finger and split the fingernail

Numbness usually Aries from damage or disease of nerves..
Numbness is often associated with OR proceeded by abnormal pain-like sensations often-PINS AND NEEDLES...

you probably have some nerve damage.Not much one can do right now.If you have no signs of infecion in the wound that is. If it hasnt improved when you go to get stitches removed..ask the doc.
