Scorpio's are worse than fire signs?

Question

If there's anything well known about fire signs, ALL of them (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) and not just the poor little Leo, is that they are very much loved by themselves. They've a kind of narcissistic behaviour about them.

Now... myself being a Scorpio, and I'm not even half as bad as the ones I've met, I've noticed that whenever you mention to a Scorpio, that you are yourself a Scorpio, they hold you in much higher esteem than before. Just because you ARE a Scorpio.

Doesn't that strike anyone as the least bit narcissistic?


And no, myself being a Scorpio, I honestly don't do that... anymore. I used to do it when I was young and naive, but learnt that Scorpio's aren't exceptional...

Please tell me it's just me? I've tried telling Aquarians that I'm one but they don't seem the least bit interested in being the same sign. Maybe a bit ill-chosen, but still...

I did say 'kind of' ... and trust me, you're never 100% one certain sign. The best you can have is to have all your personal planets in Sagittarius.

Some people start to act like their 'sign description' says, only because they think they should. If you keep in mind that those descriptions only go up for the sign, and not the person with the sign, and take a basic astrology course, you will easily understand why some people don't always act like their own sign, and why they shouldn't feel themselves forced to act like it - whether it be subconsciously or not.

On that first answer, though, that's exactly what I mean - in general Scorpio's are too much in love with themselves, a bad habit which I cannot say I'm spared of, but it annoys me in other Scorpio's and I find it a bit hypocritical to hold someone in higher esteem just because they're Scorpio's as well.

I should have added one thing... with certain exceptions, this hypocritical narcissism in Scorpio's usually occurs in men.

One very obvious example was a fella I knew, who didn't even as much as cared for me apart from for my looks, when he learned that I was a Scorpio like himself, he couldn't leave me alone. (Not that I minded the attention because he was damn sexy, but still...)

Chicyuna; you're half right there - the sun moon and rising are 3 things that make up half of the personality - mercury, venus and mars are the other half. If you have, like meself, half those in sagittarius and in 1st house (my rising is late scorpio which puts my sun in the 12th house and makes it more piscean) you would act more like a sagittarius than a scorpio, simply because any planet in the 1st house is emphasised.
My rising, however which I mentioned is in scorpio, no one ever takes me for a typical scorpio personality - then again it might arguably be in sagittarius as well because it is in the last degree... - and when having to guess people always guess the sign wrong.
Anyway, here's something interesting; mercury and venus are always either one or 2 signs away from the sign the sun is in - that is why people sometimes notice they act more like the next or previous sign in the zodiac than like their own sun sign ;)

what a fun question for a scorpio to find! :) yes, scorpios think they are a gift to the world.

i was at a party, kind of bored, and then 3 of us at the party realized we were all scorpios. we started chatting like crazy, totally pushing all the other signs out of the conversation, and out of the kitchen. my boyfriend (virgo) tried to join the conversation, but after a few sentences gave up. he NEVER gives up on talking! but the scorpios were so overbearing, so full of themselves, so adrenaline-filled, that it was pointless to join the discussion. the discussion was all about scorpios, and how we're always right, blah blah blah. :) it was very exciting at the time, but now looking back--yeah, a little sickening. :)

no, it's not you--it's all of us scorpios! we feel we've had an especially character-producing life, and that every life lesson that we've traveled through has been learned with straight As.

I adore Scorpio people. Sometimes even more than my fellow fire signs Aires and Sagittarius.

But this question is exactly why Scorpio is a water sign and isn't remotely close to being a fire sign.

Well I wouldn't call it obsessed by themselves, Scorpio people have a high opinion for themselves but it is really based on a quality or qualities they possess, so there is nothing wrong they see it and they are confident in that. I am a Taurus and I seriously lack confidence in whatever I do, I doubt and I analyze then I worry too much and if my Scorpio friends were not around me showing me I must be strong, like they are, they act cool all the time I was about to be in depression. I find, there are a lot of things I can learn from my Scorpio friends, they are nice people, they are proud and intelligent and I do not see anything wrong when they have high esteem for themselves because they always see the qualities in the other people and they say it, when they like something, if they make a compliment, it is honest and it is 100% true. When they do not like something, they say it directly again and they are really true and objective. Scorpio people are fair people and they are not so much in love with themselves, I think they just know certain things to do perfect, they have high intuition and they know that so they treasure their positive qualities but that doesn't stop them to see and to admire other people with qualities the Scorpio doesn't possesses. For example I was always admiring how one of my Scorpio friends could really act cool when she is feeling deeply hurt and no matter of that she doesn't allow the emotions to blur her mind at making a decision, while she was always saying she really think it is good when I forgive the people easily without holding a negative feeling.

I do not think that the high self esteem is a problem, for me a problem of the Scorpio is his/her dangerous and vindictive nature. When provoked the Scorpio becomes fury, intense in his/her feelings and can plan a revenge for a long time and would find the most unexpected moment to attack. So I believe my friendship with these Scorpios would show them, it is worthless to lose so much energy and to punish the person who hurt you, instead leave him/her, ignore, forget and forgive, and finally just be cautious for the next time. I also learn things from them, to be more open minded, brave, to be confident and to be fully devoted to any task I am undertaking till its final realization.

About fire signs I do not know so much for Sagittarius, just that they think lightly and they do not go beneath the surface but Leo guys ohhhhhhhh, Leo guys for me are impossible to interact. When I hear someone is a Scorpio I do not react in any way or I do not start to think for the characteristic traits I know, I just see and observe till I understand the personality and I find out of course many differences between a Scorpio and a Scorpio. The fact I ended my friendship with one Scorpio girl 5 years ago do not stop me to love my Scorpio friends I have now and to believe that won't happen with them, because I can see they are different people. Same goes for the Leo guys, if I meet so different Leo guy that doesn't believe all the time he is the best, I will give him a chance :P

Well you're a very keen observer. Esp. re: Sag's healthy sense of self. I'm a Sag and I do believe you're right regarding our self-confidence. I wouldn't say we're narcissistic, however. Re: Scorpio, I've never particularly cared for these folks simply due to the lack of honesty or an air of deception on their part, which does not sit well with Sags. One thing is consistent with Sags is that we are BLUNT to a fault. So people who have problems showing their true colors are suspect to me and I stay far away, as a result.

I have to agree with you on one of your points; no one is completely like their sign says! For example, my sun sign is Libra, but my moon sign is Sagittarius and my rising sign is Capricorn. Your sun sign is your individuality, your moon sign is your personality, and your rising sign is how people see you. So, although I feel that I can be indecisive (a trait Libra's hold so dear), people don't see that in me because my Capricorn comes out. Libra's are supposed to be laid back and relaxed, which I am to a degree, but sometimes my mean streak of Sagittarius comes in. So there's lots of things to take into consideration when you're (not you, but people in general) are trying to figure out someone based on their sun sign alone.

That brings me to my next point. My mom and BF are both Scorpios, and they don't have one mean steak in them at all! They are very sociable and friendly, and they both make GREAT conversationalists, but in no way are they conceded or think they're better than any other sign. That's because their moon sign and rising sign are NOT Scorpio. Interestingly enough, both my BF and I have the same rising sign. That's could be why he and I get along so well together, although his sun sign is Scorpio and mine is Libra (apparently, those two signs are supposed to really clash).

Know many Scorpio’s. Head strong, sure. They like to control their environment. Much action is generated by an emotional need to be influential and in control. It may appear like Aries energy on the surface however Aries are mildly aware of their harshness and impatient way of dealing with people. Scorpios are very aware of how their actions will be responded too. Unlike Aries who charge into things for the adventure, Scorpio has intense emotions that motivate them. The force of water can be very powerful and flood everything around it.

I am a Scorpio and my guy's a Leo, I wouldn't call him self obsessed by any means. I don't think I am either, however, who am I to judge! I've certainly never felt that people admire me just for that reason.

Everyone needs to feel precious to him or herself in some way and I guess for some people, star signs are just the way to do it.

absolute rubbish, i am a Sagi and not in the least bit narcissistic but 100% Sagi as I have all the traits, that just isn't one that applies to Sagittarius

I've known a few Scorpios, I wouldn't have said they loved themselves but they certainly seemed to think that others should

my best sis, and 2 of my best friends are Scorpios ...
and u know what ? they killed me !!

scorpios are wounderful, a very nice people, they're maybe the nicests friends, loyal ,,..... etc
but their problem when they fall in love, they take time to fall in love , and when they do they become s much deffirent, because they wanna keep their lovers just for them !!
