I cought a Star fish in the Ocean, and i don't know how to dry it out! I want to polish it later too! So I know that you have to put it in the 70% alcohol but then after that i don't get what to do! DOES ANY BODY AHAVE A CLUE?
Or have already experienced it?

Think this through, Your walking along when someone picks you up and dunks you in alcohol to dry you out. All you were trying to do was get some food, maby find a mate, or find a good place to take a nap and now your life is over.
If you feel the need to keep it get a salt water aquarem. If you need dead starfish go buy some.
i rember when i was around 7 a kid cought a purple star fish and was going to take it home. I punched him in the nose and put it back.
The beach is not a place to collect living things. Next time you go leave the living there. its ok to look its even ok to touch some things but do NOT bring them home

I won't go thru lecturing you about removing endangered creatures from the ocean, nor remind you how sensetive these poor creatures are since most do not survive being captured and shipped to stores. SInce most people here have already done that. And for those above me, there is no reason for name calling.
With that said, No you don't have to put it in alcohol (This just kills any bacteria but really not need). Actually once you rinse it off with water lay it flat to dry. You may want to use a bowl depending on the shape to allow it to keep it's curved feature rather than have sunkin in center. Let it air dry, preferably in a sunny area. Remember to check the center of the star fish. by moving it from the bowl daily.

i think u need ur head testing, people like u let society down. u really are a sick individual, why not ask the rspca how to do it? bet u don't ask, why? cause u know it was wrong to remove an animal from its natural enviroment. its a good job i'm a firm beliver in fate, cause it will catch up with u one day.
