Nixon was the worst president.

There are plenty of worst presidents. Abe Lincoln was responsible for launching an unpopular invasion that killed over a half million Americans and destroyed dozens of cities. The south did win again if you count how many presidents from the South came to be after the Civil War.

James Buchanan often is near the top, or the top on the list by historians as the worst president.

President Hoover helped cause and substain the Great Depression. It took a World War to correct it.

President Carter had more flaws than George Bush Jr ever did. It seemed every day something would blow up or fall out of the sky. Not only that invlation was bad and the oil embargo was real.

My vote is for Abraham Lincoln, a guy who will be known as picking generals to fight the Civil War, but not much else unless it was imagined by the thinker. He left Congress to make laws and if his anti-slavery stance matched the other Republicans, it was something of what we call fair trade now. The price of produce would not be cheaper because of slave in the South which hurt the farmers in the North that were doing the work themselves.

Yes, the worst president is George Bush. Even John Dean, White House Counsel to Nixon, deeply involved in Watergate agrees. Looking back on the development of conservative politics in the U.S., Dean notes that conservatism is regressing to its authoritarian roots. Dean draws on five decades of social science research that details the personality traits of what are called "double high authoritarians": self-righteous, mean-spirited, amoral, manipulative, bullying. He concludes that Chuck Colson, Pat Robertson, Newt Gingrich, and Tom DeLay are all textbook examples. Dean calls Vice-President Cheney "the architect of Bush’s authoritarian policies," and deems Bush "a mental lightweight with a strong right-wing authoritarian personality."

Well president Bush has had a horrible second term and in his first term he had his bright moments. Now the worst president in history I would say is Martin Van Buren but thats my opinion.

<> No, he’s a really good president, he’s giving the opportunities for others like you to live in a free “democratic” society. A lot of people don’t realize the significance of freedom and they take it for granted.

George W Bush is by far the worst president we ever had. He is just such an awful president with the lowest poll numbers i have ever seen.

Absolutely.

If you want to argue for a worse president you have to go back to the 19th century, and you may not find one then
