Yes, I believe it to be true.
And scarier even, Nevyn550...75% of second marriages end in divorce.

As another responder posited, consider the source. 57& and 54% of which men/women?
You have to decide who you will accept as an authority. That said, why are you reading Glamour anyway?

Yes and I'm surprised the percentages aren't higher considering most people have forgotten what commitment really means. We live in a society that teaches to blame the other person for everything and as long as your own needs are met it doesn't matter to hurt someone else in the process. That goes from the highest ranking politicians to the garbage collectors. The decent people are caught in between and get used and abused along the way. It's sad but it takes going through 5 to 6 relationships to really find a person that is real and honest and even then you must be cautious.

If you polled women/men who subscribe to a religious magazine as opposed to Glamour, Redbook, Cosmopolitan you would get different results. I'm not sure those are accurate.. I'd say about 47% men and about 32% of women.. and the remainder have no clue. Those figures would change as the population ages too.

It is a guess of percentages based on the people they poll. They ask X amount of men and X amount of women. Once they have a very wide sample, they apply that number to the rest of the population. This has proved to be a very reliable way to get statistics. I would say it's pretty accurate. Although, I have read lately that more women than men cheat now.

No; I think that those statistics are questionable. I have researched this issue myself quite a bit, and those percentages sound a bit high.
A poll by ABC showed much lower numbers:
Age Cheated
18-29 8%
30-39 11%
40-49 15%
50+ 21%

Yes, I believe those stats are probably in the neighborhood of the real deal. Is there a margin of error? It just goes to show that the sexes aren't as different as we've been taught from birth to believe. Think about that the next time you get hacked off or bewildered by the opposite sex.

I think about 95% of men cheat and the number of women who cheat is probably around 54%.

I would actually think that the percentage is much higher for men than that. I think some of them lied when asked, thought there was a hidden camera around or something!

Yea, Id say close to half of all people cheat. Think of all your friends, I bet you KNOW that some of them have cheated. This is a very real problem in this society.
