Only education, compassion, love for the earth can eliminate war.

A world government would force people in a project they do not absolutely want to be part of

No. It would almost guarantee continuous civil war.

A government only works if (1) the populace is willing to abide by the decisions of its leader and get along, or (2) the leaders control the population through tyrannical oppression.

There isn't a single power block strong enough to control the entire world by force, and too much of the world can't get along to make the first option workable.

We are trying world government with the U.N., and you see they an not agree on any thing either. It going to take lots more for us to grow up and learn to work together.
It would help if the Aliens would attack us and show our petty squabbles are really small and help is combine.

No. Civil and sectarian war does exist. It would go some way towards reducing war, however.
