well different people will react to the media in different ways. for me, no. but most ppl, theres a good chance u have all these problems going on with what ppl see on tv and try to act just like them, and end up getting anorexia or something.

You'd have to be a rock not to be affected by the media in at least some small shape, way, or form - I'm not sure if you're referring solely to advertising, T.V., tabloid, newspaper & the such...but I think the fact that we are all here in this Q&A forum on the internet, the most powerful media form on the planet, proves that we cannot completely shake off the media's influence and ubiquitousness.
