never because no one in their right mind would pick him up. unless they are from texas.

Actually, it seems that every preceding answer is wrong. Sosa HAS indeed made the Texas Rangers team - that news was announced a couple days ago by Ron Washington. As for the fantasy sports implications, expect to see Sosa being added within the next two weeks (which is how long Yahoo cycles through its database during spring training).

Sosa is on a minor league contract. You'll probably have to wait until the last cuts are made and he officially makes the Rangers roster.
Even then, why do you want him? Sleeper pick? I mean, I guess anything's possible.
