Maybe you are too stimulated by the sunlight. Many people suffer from lack of sun but some people are also over-stimulated by the sun. Sunlight produces Vit. D in the body, which gears up our immune system and makes some people feel bad. If I spend the day in the sun, even with shades, a hat and sunscreen, the next day I have a reaction with flu-like symptoms.
You can read more about sunlight and vit. D production by Googling on it. I found this out because I have an autoimmune illness that responds negatively to lots of sun.
it could be a latent problem like that with you, as well.
Good luck.

I believe it is the environment which a person grows up, or lives in. When it is a certain sort of weather most of the time, like cold in Alaska for example, the residents get used to that and it makes them feel good to feel warmth, or for a place that is regularly warm to feel cool. And even though there is no evidence that says that just because it is stormy, everybody feels awful. Everybody's different. But I feel crummy at times when I don't have a good coat on in the winter, and too much on in the summer. I live in Kansas where it is really wierd at times.

I love summmer, I hate winter. During winter, I feel trapped within my clothes, I feel lonely, and I feel like I can't escape and do what I want.
During the summer, I feel free and happy, more confident too.
I don't know if this has to do with many positive things that have happened to me during the summer.
I've never heard of your case though! Have you had any bad experiences pertaining to summer? Migraines perhaps?

Huh. That's really interesting. Sounds like you've got a backwards case of SAD (seasonal affective disorder). If the bright lights/sun hurts your eyes, do you think you have chronic migraines? Perhaps you just thrive in winter months because your body is accustomed to working harder. I don't really know what I'm talking about. I'm guessing, really.
