I've been to the DR. and it feels like beating a dead horse. Nothing they do helps. I have a ridicuously irregular cycle I never know when I ovulate, sometimes I bleed for 3 days, sometimes a month, sometimes 2 weeks. Its PAINFULLY annoying.....Trust me.

Here's my story. My husband and I tried to do things "naturally." After a year of trying, my cycle suddenly stopped. I went to the doctor and was put on Provera to "jump start" my cycle. Things went well, but no results. I was put on Clomid, which is a fertility drug that is supposed to "build a better egg." I got pregnant around November 2004. That January, we discovered that they baby never formed and had surgery to remove the placentae. What got me through that tough time was knowing that I was able to conceive. I was able to release the egg and it found its way to the sperm. In May, I miscarried again, but it was so soon that I barely felt pregnant. They say third time's a charm right? Well, In July, when we weren't supposed to be trying, we conceived again. Sometimes stressing about things can affect your ability to conceive. Your body is a delicate system of hormones and stress can affect them. I know other babies that were conceived when their parents weren't even thinking about getting pregnant. So, relax. Go see your doctor and make sure things are okay. Get your husband tested, too. I found a book that helped me figure it all out--"Fertility for Dummies". Love that book! I know it's frustrating--especially when you have friends and loved ones that can get pregnant just by having a guy look at them. Oh, and chart your cycle and use an ovulation kit. You should start to see a pattern and will be able to figure exactly when you should be trying. Good luck! P.S. My daughter turned one last week!

Hi:) Sorry you've had a hard time TTC:(.We tried for 16 months before finally getting a bfp.I was starting to give up and was getting ready to see a fertility specialist.I decided to start charting to make sure I was actually ovulating and that was my lucky month.I was having weird cycles < every 24 days>for 2 years before and thought maybe I was in early menopause and then out of the blue my cycles became regular again< 27-28 days> and second month of that and I was preg.I was taking an herb called Vitex along with B6,a multi vitamin and a calcium supplement which I think may have had a lot to do with straightening out my cycles.Has your Dr mentioned trying a few cycles of Clomid? If not I would ask,it can help regulate your cycle and improve ovulation. Also has your dh had a semen analysis done? It takes two to tango so it's always a good idea to have him checked out as well.Charting..while a pita at first ,get's to be a habit and can give you many clues as to what's going on with your cycles and can help pinpoint when and if you are ovulating.Doesn't tell you when you are but tells you if you are and you have something to show the Dr which might help with a course of treatment.Don't give up tho anythings possible. There's a lot of support groups out there so that should tell you you are not alone.Ton's of babydust and I hope it happens for you soon..

You really just need to see a different doctor. I have an extremely irregular cycle as well. My doctor took blood tests and believes because of the levels of FSH and LH that I may have PCOS (Polycystic ovarian sydnrome.) I've read up on this and I have no symtoms besides the cycles. He advised me taking Medformin which should help regulate my cycles.

Have you had blood tests? How were your hormone levels? Do you chart your temperature and know how to check your cervical mucas to see if you are even ovulating?

I wouldn't fret if I were you...(i know...easier said than done) But please go and see a doctor that will truly help you to get to the root of your problem. (My doctor spent forty mintutes going through blood test results and options for treament!) He wants to see me as well for a follow-up in two months if I am not pregnant.

Have you gone to the Dr? Usually after trying for a year you are advised to seek a Dr. My aunt and uncle have been trying for a little over 10 years and they keep their spirits up by referring back to the couple in the bible who were in their 100's before getting pregnant. They believe God will bless them one day. Wishing u the best. Good Luck.

Have you tried getting back on the pill to regulate your cycle and then getting off? I don't know if doctors recommend that method but it may work.

Baby dust to you...
