Do i need a net & tank? Can I just leave them in the big tank? Will she eat ALL of them? I don't want all of them, just 1 or 2

If a female guppy has been in a tank with a male guppy the chances are about 99.9% that she's pregnant. She will also have babies about once a month for approximately 6 months after being with a male even one time.

As to your added on question, No you don't need a breeder net, box, or seperate tank. Make sure you have a bunch of plants grouped closely together but enough apart that Momma can get into the middle if she wants too. Plastic plants work just fine. Then let nature take it's course.
I know it sounds mean but in 3 months I had over 200 fish from a single female guppy. Most pet/fish stores won't take in unwanted guppies because they are so easy to breed. Also any friends you want to give babies away to will end up with having too many of their own too.

Good luck with the baby guppies. And for some good info on caring for them and a friendly forum check out www.guppylog.com ;)

Get an EPT test at the dollar store. Ha! OK, maybe that not work. But, yes, odds are she an expecting mother. Guppies are similar to rabbits in fish form. In time with a light behind her you can actually see the babies and that mean they come out soon. You need a special tank for her or other fish will eat the babies as they are born.

Scroll down and you see a breeding tank. It allow the babies to fall through a slot into the bottom away from the adults.

You should get a net. She might have them any time now. You could try to buy those nets made so that the fry can get in and out but not the female. She won't eat all of them but by taking precautions, you could save all of them. and give the rest away to people or the pet stor near you. Hope this helps

She could have been pregnant before you got her. Gestation is usually 28-30 days.

Yes, she could have already been pregnant. Guppies multiply quickly.

Possibly. I would wait for other symptoms, but perhaps she was pregnant before you bought her, or just got pregnant?
