sweetie the best advice i can tell you is to use a site such as www.babyzone.com to track and chart your cycle so you know when your fertile period is.And use opt's like you did 4 months ago every month to help, good luck and best wishes

Hi!

The best thing to do is chart you cycles.

Simply take your temperature every morning when you wake up. It will rise when you ovulate and will stay higher until your next period (about 14 days later). Once released you egg remains viable for fertilisation for just 12-24 hours.
Also keep an eye on your mucus. it will become stretchy like egg white as you approach ovulation. Sperm can survive for up to 5 days in this most fertile mucus.
Although your cycles are irregular you will find that your body does have its own pattern.
The Couple to Couple League run classes and have a great home study course if you want to learn more about charting and interpreting your fertility signs.
If you are trying to conceive it is recommended that you have intercourse every other day during the week before you ovulate and then for a day or two after.
Make sure you are taking pre-natal vitamins and Good Luck!

Hun, mine are also over the place also trying for around 6 months!! isn't it annoying!!

I have bought 'first response' ovulation tests. Get 5 in a pack incl a preg test, for £20. There is also a guide which tells you when to start testing.

What I would suggest that start testing from the earliest cycle you have had then that way you wont miss the day you ovulate.

My cycles range from 29 days to 42 days.

I also take Vitamin B, this helps balance hormones, (someone on here told me to take them!) Also if your ttc take folic acid, this helps the growth of your baby.
Good luck xx

I bought Clearblue Fertility Monitor and think it's great. I have a fairly irregular cycle (28-35 days) and because of that the monitor is better than the sticks on their own.

"The Clearblue Fertility Monitor consists of Test Sticks and a hand-held Monitor. Together these identify changes in the hormones that control your fertility. The Monitor records your personal cycle to build up a complete and accurate picture of your most fertile days"

you may not of been told by your nurse/doctor when they put these implants, coils in or even have injections to protect us from getting pregnant they forget to tell us that it takes about a year to get your periods back on track again as i found out it is very frustrating when you do wanna try for a baby only to be told you gotta wait a year for your body to get back to normal again ive been there so i know how you feel. Try to stay positive and remember it will happen when you least expect it good luck and hope it all goes well. x

its averaged at 14th day of a 28 day cycle but thats not everyone obviously. The best way hun is to keep that 10 days before in mind but make a diary over the next few months. There are slight changes as when on a period eg tender breasts little high temp restlessness in bed sore tummy or upset tummy, mood swings.when u see a pattern forming in your diary you will be more able to judge it xxx
