I have just bought AVG 7.5 for my PC. I also own a laptop. My question is, can I install the c.d on both machines or is it only allowed on one? Any sensible advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

Hi,

If you purchase 1 license then you are allow to install
the program to 1 computer only, either your desktop or
your laptop.

Usually, a bulk license is available for user to install to
multiple computers. Since you've already purchased a
license. It's time to talk to the customer service to see
if they have multiple license available so that you can
save money from buying individual license.

AVG 7.5 is also available free, so just install the free version on the other pc or use another AV.
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ -AVG free
http://www.avast.com - Avast Antivirus

http://www.bitdefender.co.uk/site/Main/view/Download-Free-Products.html - Bitdefender 8 doesn't run in the background and can be used as a second back up anti virus.

I am sorry to tell you this but the pay AVG dose the same job as the free one.

You can install on more than one machine but it will be breaking the toc and the license might become void.

I advice you to look at this list on this site: http://www.virus.gr/english/fullxml/default.asp?id=82&mnu=82 it shows the best anit virus programs.

Install AVS (Active virus shield) http://www.activevirusshield.com/antivirus/freeav/index.adp its better than AVG and free

Well you can only install it on one but it is the same as the free version but its only got a 83.83% Detection rate and AOL Active Virus Shield has 99.63% detection rate which is also free so get that and you can see if you like it.
Its not made by AOL so its not rubbish its made by Kaspersky which has the highest detection rate above AVG, Panda 2007 etc.

They only allow you one license per computer and if you are going to network both of them as soon as you try to do it, it will know that you are networking and it won't work, then you are left unprotected. I would suggest you go into the AVG forums and Q and A section, you will find your answers there.

I tried to do it once and it didn't work.

well if the product came with a cd key then chances are u can only put it on one computer because a key can most times can only be used once...if theres no cd key then nothing is stopping u from putting it on as many computers as u want...
