Go with Thome. I think i read somewhere that PNC park gave up the 2nd least homeruns to lefties, thats including the fact that Thome already hits more HR and plays with a better team.

Thome is much more proven. LaRoche will be ok but his team won't win enough, score enough, etc. Even if Jim Thome gets injured, you can probably pick up someone who will produce like LaRoche on the waiver wire

Thome will be better. Both are power hitters, but Thome has more of it. LaRoche is a good young player, but he's not to that level yet. Thome is a bit more of an injury risk, thouugh. Higher ceiling, lower floor with him. I'm thinking he outperforms LaRoche handily, though.

Thome. He is on a better team and he has a proven track record. I like LaRoche but he won't match Thome this year if both stay healthy...next year and beyond though....
LaRoche needs to hit lefties better to reach the elite level

Thome will be better but LaRoche will also have a good year. LaRoche is still too young and unproven to be a consistent player.

I would take Laroche based on the fact Thome will only be elgible for DH were you can use Laroche at 1b or DH

I think Laroche will have better year. I have feeling will get hurt ,or get trade to bad team.
