cause see this guy ive loved since 6th grade is like my best friend and he told me he did love me then he was like but do you want us to go out then me break up wid u or do you want to wait till i know for sure. i just don't know what to do?

Before you start asking about if this guy loves you, you'll need to ask yourself what sort of thing you want to have with this guy.
If you want to have a friendship thing - well it doesn't matter so much if he likes you or loves you.
If you are interested in him for a long term monogamous relationship, well then you are going to need to find out about the love thing.
His question is valid.
Would you risk a break up and the end of your friendship for a long term relationship and potential happiness?
Or would you prefer to have a constant and ongoing low grade happiness that is secure?
