I started in 3rd grade and now I'm in 7th grade (13 yrs. old). It's been 4 yrs and I miss it and all but im nervous since everyone would have probably started when they were younger. So should I go bac or do fencing in 9th grade?

nope it's not too late. I didn't start dancing until I was 18 and in college. of course I was intimidated by all the other dancers who have been dancing since there were like 2 years old. But I'd always and still continue to have fun.

my current teacher didn't start until he was 18 too, now his an international dancer, teacher and choreographer. as long as you love it, nobody can stop you. you can do fencing too. there's nothing wrong with doing both. I hope you find your answer! good luck.

you should definetly go back to dancing...you are never too old!!

i returned to dance after about 5/6 yrs., and it is not hard to pick up from where you left off, and then move forward from there!!

ps
dont do fencing. its more likely for you to be noticed when you do dance...not fencing!

It's never to late to start again. I bet you're more advanced then you think. You probably just to try out a couple of classes and see what level of difficultly you think you can handle.

But it's your choice. Fencing is alot of fun too.

You've probably blown your chance to be one of the world's top pros. So what? If you enjoy it, do it. I was at a ballroom competition this past weekend and saw an intermediate-level student competing at age 92 or 93!
