Marxist ... Well, I think that both sides are somewhat enslaved by the groups that support them, mostly because of the serious, and long-overdue need for campaign finance reform. However, I tend to essentially agree with the premise of your question because the agendas of the organizations you listed seem to cater to a narrow few AND/OR their agendas are potentially harmful to the country as a whole. In fact, some ARE harmful, not just potentially.
Why am I in favor of campaign finance reform? I have the impression there are many loopholes that undermine the good intentions of whatever restrictions have been put in place.
Now, some would say that trying to limit speech violates one's 1st amendment rights. However, in effect, this gives the rich the upper hand. By the agenda and proposals of the wealthy being heard further and more-widely, it's nearly the same as giving wealthy voters more than the one vote each is entitled to. In other words, I don't want a candidate to win simply because he had the money to promote his agenda more loudly.
You know, I don't swear that I've got the entire solution, but some form of campaign finance reform is badly needed, I feel.
Getting back to your point, I'm not thrilled (which is putting it mildly) with ANY of the organizations you listed. I could have easily thought of a brief and nasty-sounding way to agree with you, but that would give the far left an excuse to "flame" me. I don't mind someone disagreeing with my points, but some of the organizations you mentioned are real "bottom dwellers," in my view.
Thanks for a good question, Marxist.

Because of the money required to run for office, all politicians are slaves to special interest groups. The list for Republicans is different, but just as long.

Gay rights is a just cause, gay-bashing is not. Labor laws are just, the absence of them wouldn't be and for that matter couldn't be. The ACLU defends the constitution (you know, that quaint, obsolete document that theoretically is the basis for all the laws in this country...) Atheism is a choice- a perfectly legal one at that- and I defy you to provide a single coherent argument demonstrating that the Democrats have championed it anyway. "Enviro-wackos"?? Definition, please? Socialist medicine peddlers? Why don't you ask people from western Europe, Canada, or Japan if they'd like to trade for whatever coverage you have? Judicial activism... not sure what that is. PETA... what's the problem there? Ditto for Code Pink, feminists, people who fight on behalf of the poor and middle class rather than the rich, people who favor gun laws, etc. Your childish name-calling is just a series of ad hominem attacks. Try harder, maybe?

for sure a number of those arguments do no longer take care of water in the different case Hillary might desire to be shouting them from the rooftops on a comfortable commencing up. besides the fact that if he's making a residing from persons who're concerning diverse interests, he's doing it in the kind of fundraisers and character donors. this is a lot specific from the mountains of money that bypass promptly from lobbyist companies suited right into a candidate's economic business enterprise account. Obama desires to boost marketing campaign finance reform, and he's taken steps in that direction. this is truthfully now no longer perfect yet, besides the fact that if a minimum of he's finding for to make progression in this subject in assessment to lots others.

Are you new to American politics? Do you think that only the liberals are 'owned' by groups? I suggest you make a list of the groups that control the Republican party, and decide which list you think is more offensive. Which is more detrimental to the US?

For the same reasons other politicians are slaves to their interest groups...be it corporations, social activists, foreign countries. They think it will put them in power and keep them there.

And the Republicans aren't guilty of the same? Have you enjoyed your little journey to LA LA Land? Your list is a fairy tale.

For the same reason Republicans are.
The special interest groups are the source of their funding and campaign contributions, which is how their politicians stay in office.
As far as your list of supposed special interest groups, I'm not going to even bother boring you with the facts.
