I have 5 sick and personal days combined for the year. I have called out sick twice since January and took two personal days? Anyone see anything wrong with this?

That depends. Did you call out in December as well? Have you had performance issues? What type of business were you working for? A pattern of absence will usually not get you fired, but if there were other compensating factors, it could have been the deciding factor.

That can seem excessive to an employer. Less than 3 months has gone by and you have been out for 4 days already. I think it depends on how valuable you have made yourself to this company and how trustworthy. If they believed that you were truly sick, and you didn't schedule your personal days at bad times for the company, they should want to keep you. Or, maybe they saw this as a good time to eliminate your position to save money.

How close together were these days? I would say they probably are getting a bit worried you will go over your days as you have 1 day left for the entire year and it's March. There may have been other things they considered in the dismissal. I would ask those questions before assuming.

I would talk to a human rights lawyer in your area. Or a human rights commission if you have one. companies don't like it when employee's take off too much time and some of them don't care if they go against your rights and fire you.
