I have always woundered what other people think of this country.
I myself would leave if it was'nt for family ties.
My reasons would be because of being disatisfied with current govenment policys regarding crime, imigration and benefits.
Would really like to hear from people who have moved to the UK and what they think now their here.
Serious answers please.

I haven't always lived in the UK but I choose to do so and I think it is great and I have travelled a lot and all-in-all I have not been to a better place. There are better climates and prettier places but the UK has a reasonable democratic system and if you work hard you get results. I started with nothing and I can now afford a few luxuries like shoes and bread. There are many countries who won't even give you these. My suggestion for you is to pick a country and go and work there before you select it as your home but when you do be one hundred per cent about your love and commitment to it. It takes a while to learn a new language but it comes if you keep at it

This is a question that i can answer without a second thought YES, I would leave, why? we are treated like dirt, and blackmailed by the Government, we have little chance of getting anywhere, I am lucky I am in a well paid job, and i can't get a mortgage, and i can't afford to move to a cheaper area, The Government has lost touch with the people of the UK, we are to busy dealing with other peoples problems yet we can't sort out our own.
£6:45 to get some medicine
Pay more car tax,
Pay to drive on the road,
Pay to have your rubbish taken, on top of what we already pay
Work hard to save up for a good holiday, and pay extra tax's for flying.
Why not make us work for nothing, better still make us pay for the right to work.
We have to pay for everybody who is to lazy to work, who might be cons, and all this lot keep coming from abroad
I know there are a lot of places worse of than us, and yes we can help them, but we could help them better if we got our own house in order first.
The Government should try and arrange for those amongst us who want to leave somewhere to go, but unlike the UK, where you can come here and live of the hard working people, other places make sure you have enough money to live on, and not live on hand outs

When I was growing up i never thought i could live anywhere else. Born and bred in N. London.

Then I went to Australia (Sydney) and changed my mind. Im now 35, still in London but you hit the nail on the head when you said "being disatisfied with current govenment policys regarding crime, imigration and benefits." because stuff like NEW LABOUR,
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS,
MESSED UP IMIGRATION,
KEN LIVINGSTONE,
THE BBC's PRO-MUSLIM BIAS,
CLUELESS PEOPLE WEARING THOSE PALESTINIAN SCARVES FOR FASHION,
GUARDIAN READERS,
FOREIGNERS LIVING HERE BUT DECLARING A HATRED FOR WESTERNERS
and
GEORGE GALLOWAY

all make me want to leave REALLY quickly

Yes. I moved to the UK when I was young and my escape plan is almost ready! The pound is the strongest currency in the world but doesn't seem to pay for anything here. Over-cast skies are depressing. Property values are too high for what you actually get. Crowded towns and cities. Upside-down class system where the more money one has the harder the life they seem to lead.

Don't let your family hold you back. They do that enough in childhood!

I am from the UK, i have thought about leaving, there are few places that i would actually move to. i have thought about New Zealand and America, they are the only two places which i could consider moving to. I think you have to be really prepared as much as you can say you want to leave, moving your life somewhere else is a massive step and many people regret it and come back.

I have seriously considered leaving blighty for exactly the reasons you have outlined. This county is b**ggered. we have tried so hard to accommodate people of other nationalities we are no longer allowed to be proud of our own history/heritage - if we do celebrate anything British we are branded as racist. Don't me wrong though I do believe we should embrace and accept people of all nationalities but it's a two way process that seem to only run in one direction at the moment.

If I could afford to, I'd leave tomorrow.
The UK has become a dumping ground for anything that chooses to 'seek asylum', (DHS, they like to say 'yes') is home of the 'chav' culture, & has the reputation (one of many different undesirable accolades) as the worst country in Europe.
Give me the Netherlands or Germany any day..

I am seriously considering moving to Norway. They get taxed heavily, but get X10 more than we get in return.
I'm fed up of giving the Government my money only to never see the benefits.
I really don't see the point in voting for any British political party coz they are all useless!

(I'm only 19 and already fed up!!)

I understand your sentiments, but I am not going to leave and let the unpatriotic PC lefties win out.
