okay, here is the story:
about three weeks ago, i got moved from my seat for talking. so when i got to my new seat, i didnt talk at all for the three weeks. well, i answered her questions and all, but i stopped raising my hand and barely said a word. so then, when she's in the teacher's lounge, she goes talking about me and stuff. and then, she confronts me and says "when are you going to stop being ticked at me, it's lowering your particapation grade." so i said i would participate more.
and that is where we are. i still havent gotten my parents involved, but its the next step. what do you think should happen and do you think i am being dumb?

okay, maybe my story didnt make enough sense. yes, i used to participate alot. like, i would always raise my hand to the question. and im not not talking to be defiant or anything. i just dont feel like it anymore because a)it has gotten me into too much trouble, and b) she always zones on me or my friends talking when the rest of the class is chatting away or passing notes.

I think maybe not best to approach parents just yet.
Give it more time to work it's way out.
Also I feel (Just from what you have wrote)
Teacher said what needed to be said, then moved on, over, done! It's a teacher's job to see her teaching skills are being taught in the classroom, nothing more nor less.
Nothing against you. Now she did take note you still seem mad at her for what she felt she need to do in order to keep you from disrupting her class she was trying to teach!
So try another way, like smiling or say good morning Miss. Name?, how was your weekend, then carry on as one would do.
Just still be wise more work less talk.
She only wants what best for you and other students.
Just a thought. But cheer up, your feeling have been hurt but really not an attack on you personally.
Now if you really find fault in the teacher or really feel she is out for only you, then by all mean go to parents with this problem.
Don't go for damage control unless last alternative.
Have a good day dear.

Your teacher talks about you as she is most probably trying to gauge what page your on in other teachers classes; ie, do you participate or talk all over school?

You need to participate in class and Zip it; your being silent is a control issue between you and your teacher as you appear to really want to show her that if you can;t talk on her time you won't talk at all, am I right?

Ok, grow up, don't be pissed at anyone, it's a small issue, move on.

I think you are pouting... and you don't want to participate just " to show her a thing or two !!!" About the teachers' lounge... if your name came up, I'll bet there wasn't just one teacher talking !!! A teacher doesn't talk to herself in the lounge !!! I think you should show your maturity by actively partcipating in this class. Two months left... I bet you can swallow that pride ( and oh, that's hard!) and end this school year on a good note..... in and out of the teachers' lounge.
