I am trying to get information on becoming an officer in the airforce but I am haing second thoughts?.. Does anyone know where to start. First of all you'll want a strong resume. You'll also want a strong basic cover letter you can adapt when applying for jobs. It is almost impossible to get a good job without a good resume and cover letter.

Second here are some websites that list careers in your field:

Third you can start looking for jobs online or in your hometown/other towns. Most every town has a newspaper that is also posted online. You can browse classifieds for free. Also look at the government websites such as the official state website (http://www.twc.state.tx.us/customers/jsemp/jsemp.html). They have several jobs posted there. Your career center at the school you are attending can help you out more with this.

Fourth Before you start a career in the military make sure you do your research. Right now unless you want to go to war it is wise to think twice. Talk to people who are not recruiters, people who have actually been in the airforce.

Hope this helps.

Look for something within the oil industry. Rigging Companies, Construction Companies within the industry, etc. There are many along the Gulf Coast, but the closer you get to oil the more $ you'll make. If you need some leads I can provide a few.
