not only faster
i have driven past the dry cleaner and groc store and home without even seeing it
had to turn around and go back

To me they do, one time I was driving to Illinois (from Kansas) and it was an 8 hour drive, but I wasn't thinking about anything. When I drove back a week later, I had a bunch of thoughts about a guy, and it felt like it was only a 2 hour ride.

I guess it would depend upon where exactly there is. For many people there may be the ER room, or maybe even six feet under ground. In order to avoid this I suggest listening to really loud music and singing along, so that all your attention is focused.
