I watch it all the time. I think mostly the people are mad at themselves. When they see the $1,000,000 or even $100,000 on the board, they do stupid things like turn down $87,000. They quickly lose perspective and make horrible decisions. Then, out of pride, they refuse a lower offer of $40,000 for example, and go all the way, leaving with the $5 that was in their case.

When finding contestants for this show, the producers make sure they find impulsive people who don't think too hard, or are highly superstitious. Those are the ones who'll screw up and get the least amount of money.

P.S. Most of the contestants come from LA where being on TV is not a big deal.

From the first time I watched the show, I've always thought the contestants were fake (actors)... They ALL act the same way! Like "The Stepford Contestants"... The only thing more annoying than the players is Howie Mandel.

I've only watched that show a few times because I couldn't stand seeing how "greedy" every contestant seems to be! I wonder if the producers tell them to act a certain way or if they truly do pick people who seem so shallow.

i watched at the beginning but since i realized the people are being lied to after the choose 'deal' i stopped.

while they're in the game, they are always being offered deals that don't match their 'odds' but always below it. after they choose deal and they are told 'what would the offer be', suddenly these are good deals.
for example:
if 3 cases are left, 200K, 10K and 100 - the right 'odds' deal would be 70K and above, yet they get an offer of 60K.
however if they chose deal previously and then play 'what if' and stay with these three cases, the 'would be' deal is 71K.

Liars!!!

I watch it sometimes. Its kind of funny the way people act. If they walk away with any amount there walking away with more than they had when the got there.

I have watched deal or no deal and i agree i would most likely deal quicker then most would because greed is a really annoying trait to have sure u have to be greedy to win big but even if your to greedy you LOSE EVERYTHING!!
