It has to be a current team, with the players that are currently on the roster.
Also, don't base your answer on where you would rather live (anyone would rather live in Orlando then let's say...Cleveland), but on the organization it's self, and the roster of players you would be coaching. Another thing to consider: Job stability. For instance, the Clippers seem to have a different coach almost every season.

So far, 12 different teams have been mentioned. Pretty soon, we'll have new coaches for all 30 NBA teams, and they will all be Yahoo Answers contributors. Who needs Pat Riley, or Phil Jackson?

Ricky Le is now the assistant coach for the Boston Celtics. You need to report to Kalnoa, immediately.

The Sixers, I live in NJ so i'm going against my wishies of picking the nets. The sixers have a great young organization with player like iguodala, dalembert, korver, etc. and maybe oden or durant on the way... They're a great team 2 coach.

Portland, because it'd be a great challenge to try and resurrect a franchise with a winning history. The collection of young players they have is the most promising in the nba in my opinion. The media market is small, so the microscope and pressure isn't as big as a New York. It also helps that the owner is one of the richest persons in the world, has no limits when it comes to spending to win, and he willingly accepts input from coaches on player staffing.

i would love to coach portland. why?? zach randolph, brandon roy, lamarcus aldridge, jarrod jack, martel webster, sergio rodriguez, need i say more? if the core group of portland stays together, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the next 2-3 seasons they can do nothing but get better and better. even tho they have a losing record they are still a very dangerous team just ask the lakers who have lost 3 out of 4 to the blazers this year. love to be their coach but nate might have something to say about that...lol.

I would love to coach the Mavericks. They are a good group of players and Mark Cuban will get you want you want/need while you are there. Not to mention the fact that my team will probably win a championship this year and will be in contention for many years to come.

Mavs. They are so good this year you would barely have to do anything. Just watch Dirk take over a game and the team will play solid defense.

I would coach the raptors because they have many great young talented players. They are heading in the right direction as well..New management is doing a fantastic job for them.
