How about some iris folding on a masculine template?
there are lots of templates to be found online for free - and once you've shown the kids how to do it you'll find they manage easily enough.
(if you've never done it before - instructions are also available online - do a google search - its very easy and very effective once finished)
tip: I find using shiny papers is the most effective

Check out FamilyFun website for cards and projects. Young hands can handle the Thumb Bunny Loves You" card. Older kids can make at "Duct Tape Wallet". Then there's a "Best Dad Certificate", "Dad Rocks" (paperweights that are painted and have yarn hair that are designed to look like dad.), Golf Ball Mobile (3 clay golf balls with a flat side for photos or messages), Emoticon Magnets, ....

My mom left us while i replace into 8 years old so my sisters and that i grew up without mom.Our instructors consistently inspired us to make mothers day enjoying cards for an aunt, grandmother, or specific pal of the kinfolk. this is tragic that some little ones are lacking one or the two mom and father besides the fact that if it rather is a certainty of life and that they might desire to handle somewhat be shielded from it. Their acquaintances around them shouldn't ought to make adjustments of their life to handle them for their loss.

This may sound funny, but check Martha Stewart's site, or Better Home and Gardens, Family Circle under crafts- holidays. Lots of ideas there. Even Michael's craft shop has ideas on their site. Many have down-loadable patterns.
Have Fun !!!!!
