In two ways; click on start, settings then printers. Find the printer you no longer want and simply delete the icon. This will also uninstall the driver. The other way; you go to the system folder and find the hardware and find the installed printer. You can also delete it from there.

It has been a while. I think you go into Control Panel and click "Printers" and remove the one you want to remove "Delete".
To add a new printer I just get the current driver from the Printer Support and download to a file on my computer and use the wizard in Printers. Follow instructions and you will browse to where you downloaded the driver.

Why bother?
Right click and delete the icon if you don't want to look at it any longer!
