There are only two home run "records" that I care about.

Henry Aaron, 755.
Babe Ruth, 714.

You can slice statistics any way you want, but I consider Aaron to be the record holder (of course), but Babe Ruth's 714 changed the game.

These numbers meant something to me when I was a kid. The same way that 61 did. Now, they're going to be forgotten because of some men with syringes.

Hank Aaron is the only one that matters since his is the most homeruns by any player. If Barry Bonds breaks the record, then his homerun total will be the record holder. Just like Pete Rose continues to be the hits leader.

The point here is that it's not about race, or left/right handed-ness, or steroids, or HGH. It's about the numbers. The numbers are all that matter, and anything else is just fluff.

The only home-run record I care about is mine.

I broke a record the record of 2 in 2003 that stood for 37 years at Granger High School. When I hit that 3rd homer on the final day aganist Highland, I felt like I had truly become a man.

All but bonds... and it isnt the fact that steroids are more than likely the cause for the many bombs he has hit... McGwire included... but the fact that the way he conducted himself while doing it... he is one of the most hated in the game... no respect for anyone else... very rude and arrogant. Most important on the list is Aaron... during his time he had a lot more to deal with than misleading press and pressure of fans and coaches.

Hank Aaron. He was around before all this steroids crap. He has the most of all time who knows if bonds will even pass him. Plus he hit them right handed, im a switch hitter and its easier for me to hit a home run left handed

Out of all of the records i care about it is right handed NL black player. Hank Aaron acheived all of his feats while recieving hate leters from racist fans and kept on pulling on strong. He wouldn't let people hold him back for what he wanted to achieve in life and in baseball.

It is hard to choose, probably Hank Aaron because of the utter hell he had to endure, plus he does hold the record. All the others? So what.

Hank Aaron's record. He was before steroids so we know he never touched HGH. And he was just an amazing player.
