Hey. I don't think that what you referred to could be classified as such boredom you could die from. We often do things to please others that we really couldn't care less about. & if we're lucky, we might discover it wasn't that awful after all. TRUE boredom is a psychological disorder, & yes, like stress--it could kill you. Was this question a "joke?" I'm truly not taking you seriously.

Keep an open mind and try to learn something. My grandpa showed me his stamp and coin collection once and it was like a living history lesson because he had personal stories that related to each period of history for each stamp or coin.

A RESOUNDING YES!!! personnally i dont know how i survived some college courses, but stamp collection viewing might be one of the most boring activities ever conceived by human beings. You have my sympathy, as does your friend.

No.Be considerate look at the stamp collection.
Maybe you have a hobby you have been working on that you can show your friend.Good friends don't always share the same interests.

No, you cannot die of boredom.
And, bravo to you for agreeing. He is, after all, your friend. He may not like everything you do either, but will probably let you share it with him.
(This is good practice for marriage, by the way.)

Well I think that boredom is a state of mind, and there is always something that you can engage with in order to keep yourself from going in to the "Bored" mode.
I've survival stories about people who have been stranded in the middle of nowhere and I dont think that there is anything to to in the middle of nowhere and they didnt die.
Again i believe that boredom is a state of mind wich is something that we can manupulate.

Discover something new, maybe you won't be as bored as you think. Stamps hold a world of history. Listen, Look, and Learn!

I wouldn't know.
But I have a tip. Keep talking alot. Talk about what you see in the stamps, the ships/boats/men/artists/figures/whatever you can see in front of you. If your friend is well-informed, you'll learn alot of things.

Brain dead anyway. Depending on the stamps, they can be almost/slightly interesting. Just be sure to drink a can of Red Bull or something with lots of caffeine right before you show up. (Decent of you, I hope you are pleasantly surprised)
